March 16 – UEFA has confirmed the appointment of ESPN as the Caribbean’s official broadcaster of the European Championships in 2012 and 2016.

This summer’s tournament takes place in Ukraine and Poland, while the 2016 event, when 24 teams will compete for the first time, is being held in France.

ESPN will be ensuring extensive distribution of both tournaments live on ESPN Caribbean or ESPN2 Caribbean.

They will broadcast a highlights programme on each match day as well during both tournaments.

The broadcaster is also tasked with maximising online rights through ESPN.com and the regional broadband player ESPNPlay.

ESPN have acquired mobile rights too, giving fans a number of platforms to enjoy the two tournaments.
