January 13 – Liverpool FC is rolling out its club TV output with nine new TV partnerships announced. The deals cover partnerships in various individual territories globally, rather than pan-regional agreements.
The Liverpool FC content will provide access to recent Liverpool games (not live as those rights are sold by the Premier League) as well as exclusive behind-the-scenes footage from the club, as well as the usual interviews and chat shows.
New partnerships announced are: beIN Sport (Hong Kong; Middle East and France), Kompass (Indonesia), Sony (India), Sommet (New Zealand), TV2 (Norway), Arena TV (Balkans), Go TV (Malta), 365 Media (Iceland).
Matthew Baxter, Chief Media Officer at Liverpool FC said: “It’s fantastic that the Club has been able to secure the new host of TV partnerships, allowing passionate Reds to watch the heroes they love.
“One of the Club’s main aims is to extend engagement though our various media with the millions of fans across the world, so that they feel part of the Liverpool FC family, and these deals are another step in that direction.”
The deals have been completed by TV rights sales agency Pitch International.
