February 19 – Juventus scored another social media success this month with its Social Selfie contest which generated a huge response with more than 15,000 selfies a week being sent into the club from around the world.
Fans were invited to send in their selfies with the winning ones being displayed on the pitchside LED screens during the February 7 home game against AC Milan which Juve won 3-1. The selfies were shown in two 5-minute windows in the first and second half.
A total of more than 45,000 selfies were sent in the club over 19 days via the Juventus Live app. Once approved, the selfies were put to the public vote in a gallery on the Juventus Facebook page.
The selfies generating the most likes, comments, shares and interactions were then be shown pitchside during the game itself.
39,000 fans packed into Juventus’ 41,000 capacity stadium, backed up by 45,000 virtual faces.
