September 24 – Former Manchester United captain Gary Neville has agreed a deal to become a regular analyst on China’s Sina Sports network where he will link up with current pundits Carlo Ancelotti and Michael Owen.
Neville has received wide praise within the football industry for his honest and straightforward style of football punditry and will provide analysis of all the latest football news from across Europe, in particular the Premier League, for Sina Sports every two weeks.
The former England right back will engage with Sina’s online community once a month as well and will do a lot of the punditry through video interviews.
Neville announced his deal by recording a video clip where he urged Chinese football fans to watch live European football on the Sina network.
This will not affect his current work with Sky Sports where he became a regular pundit and commentator after retiring.
Sina Sports is part of the Sina group and a subsidiary of Sina.com, one of the largest websites in China. Sina has secured rights to broadcast the Premier League during the 2015/16 season.
