October 6 – UEFA’s investigation into whether Paris St Germain have broken financial fair play rules got under way this week with PSG officials summoned to UEFA’s headquarters, according to l’Equipe.

The paper said the first hearing took place on Thursday involving, among others, PSG general manager  Jean-Claude Blanc and secretary-general Victoriano Melero and relevant UEFA experts but there was no confirmation from UEFA.

Despite insisting they have played strictly by the rules, PSG’s eye-watering spending spree during the latter part of the summer transfer window is being formally investigated by UEFA’s Club Financial Control Body.

Last month, UEFA president Aleksander Ceferin said the organisation could announce by the end of this season what sanctions, if any, it will impose as a result of the probe.
