Fox unveil record World Cup coverage and a forward base in Red Square

February 21 – Agent Trump will be delighted, US broadcaster FOX Sports has unveiled a World Cup 2018 schedule of more live broadcasts than ever before and including studio coverage from the heart of the iron fist of democracy in Moscow’s Red Square.

Fox will show all 64 matches live, including a record 38 matches on broadcast television with 26 games airing on FS1.

All matches will also be live-streamed via FOX Sports GO and FOX Soccer Match Pass.

Around the match coverage, FOX Sports will offer studio programming for the month-long tournament and will base in Russia’s iconic Red Square. Programming will include pregame, postgame and late night shows.

Fox kick off their match action with host country Russia’s tournament opener against Saudi Arabia on June 14. FS1’s opening weekend will feature Germany, Brazil, France and Mexico.

Fox also holds US broadcast rights to the 2022 World Cup in Qatar and the 2026 World Cup, the 2026 rights being agreed as part of a negotiation with FIFA over potential legal issues in the US surrounding the rescheduling of the 2022 World Cup from Summer to Winter.
