May 18 – He’s done some novel things since hanging up his boots and now Diego Maradona has entered new territory again by signing a three-year contract to become chairman of the Belarusian side Dinamo Brest after the World Cup.
The Argentina legend has already posted an image on his official Instagram page with a caption thanking the club for the faith shown in him.
Dinamo Brest finished fourth in their national championship in 2017 but currently sit in eighth place.
Maradona will also be responsible for all football policy within the organisation, a role which is a far cry from his most recent role as Al Fujairah coach in the United Arab Emirates.
