eChampions League to kick off qualifiers in February, prize pool set at $280K

December 18 – The 2021 eChampions League will start in February and culminate with the final to be played the day before the UEFA Champions League final in Istanbul. Prize money has been set at €280,000.

This will be the third edition of the eChampions League played as part of the EA SPORTS™ FIFA 21 Global Series. The tournament will be played on PlayStation4.

Online qualifiers will be played 1, 13 and 14 February, with 32 players advancing to the knockout stage, held on 1 and 2 May.

The top eight will proceed to the eChampions League finals to compete through a double-elimination bracket on 28 May, a day before the UEFA Champions League final on 29 May. The top three competitors will also earn spots into the FIFA 21 Global Series European Regional PlayStation 4 play-offs.
