August 17 – Sports leisurewear brand JD Sports is taking its first sponsorship steps in Spanish football, becoming the sleeve sponsor of LaLiga’s Real Valladolid.
No value has been given for the two-year deal that will see the JD logo on the left sleeve of the Valladolid kit, as well as JD Sports receiving in-stadium exposure.
Valladolid’s front-of-shirt sponsor is Spanish beer company Estrella Galacia.
This new association also happens to be JD Sports’ first sponsorship deal in Spanish football.
Earlier this month JD Sports agreed a one-year sleeve sponsorship deal with Premier League Southampton for the 2022/23 season.
JD has previously had sleeve sponsorships with Leeds and Brighton in the Premier League, and was Norwich’s sleeve sponsor during the 2021/22 campaign. JD has expanded to more than 400 stores in the UK and into 21 countries worldwide.
