Concacaf powers up sponsorship with multi-year Aramco deal

February 19 – On the eve of the W Gold Cup kick off, Concacaf has agreed to a multi-year partnership with global energy and chemicals company Aramco. 

Aramco will be designated the ‘Official Energy Partner’ for all of Concacaf’s national teams and club competitions.

Concacaf president Victor Montagliani said: “We look forward with great anticipation to working with Aramco to elevate all of our Concacaf competitions.  This is a very exciting time for the growth of football in our region, and we truly believe this partnership will be of mutual benefit for both organisations.”

Aramco’s sponsorship will include the Concacaf Champions Cup, which kicked-off this month and features the 27 best men’s clubs in the region, and the Concacaf Nations League Finals, from March 21-24, which will be played in Texas between the men’s national teams of Jamaica, Mexico, Panama and the United States.

The partnership will also include future men’s Gold Cups, Concacaf Nations Leagues, men’s and women’s U20 and U17 championships.
Khalid Al Zamil, Aramco Vice President of Public Affairs said: “Aramco has proudly established a track-record of promoting active lifestyles by investing in global sports and events.  Concacaf will provide Aramco with significant visibility through its club competitions, and also opportunities for engagement with fans as the popularity of football grows across the region.”

No value was given for the sponsorship.
