June 3 – Canada’s Vancouver Whitecaps will play-off against El Salvador’s Alianza Women FC for the final place in the group stages of the inaugural Concacaf W Champions Cup this August.
Announcing the clubs and draw structure for the competition, the pools have been seeded so that NJ/NY Gotham FC and San Diego Wave FC from the NWSL will be in different group, while CF Monterrey Femenil and Club America Femenil from Mexico’s Liga MX will also be in different groups.
The 10 clubs in the group stage will be divided into two groups of five clubs each at the draw to take place June 6. Each club will play every club in its group once, (two at home and two away) across four weekends in September and October.
The group winners and runners-up will progress to the competition’s Finals which will be played at a centralised venue May 22-25, 2025. The venue is to be announced.
The Concacaf W Champions Cup is the pathway to the new FIFA Women’s Club World Cup which will feature 16 clubs and will be played between January and February 2026, though no host country has been announced.
