AFC set for U17 and U20 Asian Cup qualifying draw 

June 12 – The AFC will hold its draw for the qualifiers for the AFC U17 Asian Cup 2025 and AFC U20 Asian Cup 2025 tomorrow at AFC headquarters in Kuala Lumpur.

The qualifiers for the 20th edition of the U17 Asian Cup will be played October 19-27 and feature 43 teams.The nations will be divided into 10 groups – seven of four each.

The AFC U20 Asian Cup Qualifiers (Uzbekistan, pictured, are the current U20 Asian Cup champions) will be played from September 21 to 29, with 45 teams split into five groups of four each and five groups of five.

All 10 group winners, along with the five best-placed runners-up, will qualify for the final tournaments. They will be joined by the hosts Saudi Arabia for the U17 Asian Cup 2025, and China for the U20 Asian Cup.

Groups games for both qualifying tournaments will be played in a centralised location. For the draw teams are seeded into five pots based on their final rankings from the corresponding previous edition.

The pot allocations for each draw, with teams arranged according to rankings, are:
