June 25 – The Asian Football Confederation (AFC) has unveiled the Official Match Ball for the AFC Asian Qualifiers – Road to 26, taking place from September 2, 2024 to November 18, 2025.
Molten will supply its 5th generation Vantaggio for the 18-team final qualification stage.
The ball has been developed using partially recycled materials, “ensuring durability and sustainability while adhering to world class standards”, said Molten.
Based on the logo of the AFC Asian Qualifiers, the design integrates the official colours to reflect the diversity of Asian football.
Datuk Seri Windsor John, the AFC General Secretary, said: “The AFC Asian Qualifiers – Road to 26 is set to be a thrilling showcase of the best of Asian football and we are delighted that Molten, with their proven expertise in delivering top-quality match balls, will enhance the excitement and standards of the high-intensity matches.
The ball features improved heat resistance making it more suitable to Asian climates, and more resistant to peeling. It also has low water absorption properties.
