England’s boo boys fined but get to keep Bellingham

July 6 – UEFA have handed England a €11,000 fine after fans booed the playing of the Slovenia national anthem.

Supporters were heard loudly jeering ahead of the two nations’ final Euro 2024 group game in Cologne on June 25.

Meanwhile Jude Bellingham, whose overhead kick spared the nation’s blushes in the last-16, was hit with a suspended ban and £25,000 fine for grabbing his groin area after the tie against Slovakia.

But he was cleared to play in the crunch quarterfinal with Switzerland and explained the action was a private joke that he claims he directed towards friends.
