July 8 – Manchester United wantaway Jadon Sancho could be on the move to Juventus, who are reportedly willing to sell 26-year-old Federico Chiesa to fund the move.
Thiago Motta’s side have been aggressive in the transfer market as they gear up for a new era at the club, already welcoming €70 million-rated Brazil international Douglas Luiz to the club.
Sancho, who rediscovered his form on loan at Dortmund last season, would be available for around €35 million, but Juve will need to raise funds for a move to become available.
Manchester United are plotting a move for 22-year-old Ajax striker Brian Brobbey, despite close links with Bologna and Netherlands forward Joshua Zirkzee in recent days. Both players offer a strikingly similar profile, making a move for both highly unlikely, especially with prospect Rasmus Hojlund already on the books.
Portugal and Fulham midfielder Joao Palhinha is on the verge of completing his move to Bayern Munich. The player came close to an identical move this time last year, failing a medical in the dying moments of the transfer window. Finally, though, a £40 million move has materialised as the 28-year-old looks set to complete his prophesied move to the Bavarians.
Manchester City have joined the hunt for 23-year-old Newcastle and England winger Antony Gordon. The player was linked with a shock move to Liverpool last week as the club looked to take advantage of Newcastle’s FFP troubles, though the sales of Elliot Anderson to Nottingham Forest and Yankuba Minteh to Brighton took the pressure off the need to do a deal.
It would take a significant fee to prise Gordon away from Tyneside – a value far north of his €60 million Transfermarkt valuation.
Germany midfielder Pascal Gross has agreed personal terms with Borussia Dortmund, who are in talks about signing the 33-year-old from Brighton for between £6 million and £8.5 million. The German enjoyed a great run of form last campaign, and will be a big miss for the Seagulls next season.
Manchester City midfielder Kevin de Bruyne, 33, has reportedly “verbally agreed” to join Saudi Arabian side Al-Ittihad, and it is now up to the Premier League champions to approve the departure of the Belgian. With De Bruyne still a key part of Guardiola’s setup, it is unlikely that the Belgian would leave unless he forces his way out the door.
French champions PSG, now financially freed-up following the departure of Kylian Mbappe, have expressed their interest in Benfica starlet Joao Neves. The 19-year-old impressed during his time with Portugal in Euro 2024 but would command a significant price tag, with expert sellers Benfica reluctant to let the player go for a fee south of €100 million.
The Parisians also have one eye on unsettled FC Bayern star Joshua Kimmich in case they can’t land a move for the young Portugal star. The German could be available for a cut-price fee due to his contract situation, but PSG will have to compete with a number of top clubs also circling.
