Real Madrid sign betting site VERSUSbet in 2-year European deal

October 8 – Real Madrid has signed a two-year partnership with VERSUSbet, the sports betting and online casino brand owned by Grupo Orenes.

The agreement, which excludes Spain, covers the rest of Europe, and will drive the gambling platform’s international expansion.

The partnership was officially unveiled by Emilio Butragueño, Real Madrid’s Director of Institutional Relations, and Javier López Cerrón, CEO of Grupo Orenes. For Real Madrid, the deal reinforces its efforts to strengthen commercial ties across Europe by aligning with prominent brands.

Earlier this year, VERSUSbet signed a similar agreement with Juventus to cover the Latin American market. In July Grupo Orenes announced a collaboration with Sevilla, announced in July. That agreement granted VERSUSbet the ability to use Sevilla’s intellectual property and image rights to promote the brand to its hospitality customers in Latin America.

Javier López Cerrón, general manager of Grupo Orenes, said: “For us, this is a very significant milestone. At VERSUSbet we always want to be close to the best and Real Madrid is one of the most important clubs in the history of international sport, an institution with whom we want to share great successes. This agreement is a cornerstone for our international expansion.”
