November 13 – Sports performance intelligence platform Kitman Labs has entered into a partnership with Saudi Pro League’s Al-Hilal, one of the country’s most decorated football clubs.
Armed with an impressive trophy cabinet, Al-Hilal will now utilise Kitman Labs’ advanced iP: Intelligence Platform to monitor player health, wellness, and performance across both its Men’s and Women’s First Teams. Though the deal comes a little too late for Brazilian Neymar who is injured again having only managed two appearances as a sub after a long spell out with injury.
Through Kitman Labs’ Performance Medicine and Performance Optimisation solutions, Al-Hilal aims to centralise medical and performance data in one integrated system.
This unified data approach is unique to Kitman’s platform, as it consolidates all medical and performance information into a single operating system, providing Al-Hilal’s performance departments with real-time insights that inform evidence-based decisions and cross-department collaboration.
The Intelligence Platform will track player metrics, promote data consistency, and reduce information silos at the club. This system is designed to improve day-to-day communication and long-term planning for Al-Hilal, supporting the club’s ambitions both on and off the pitch.
This comes as Kitman continues to grow its partnership portfolio, dipping into the Saudi market for the first time. Al Hilal will join the likes of Liverpool, Chelsea and Bayer Leverkusen.
The value and length of the deal was not undisclosed.
“Our partnership with Al-Hilal represents one of our first in the Saudi Pro League and we couldn’t be more honoured to be working with one of the country’s longest serving football clubs with a leadership team that is clearly establishing itself at the vanguard of innovation and sports science,” said Stephen Smith, CEO and Founder of Kitman Labs.
“The deployment of the Intelligence Platform across the Men’s and Women’s First Teams will help players, coaches and practitioners alike take a data-driven approach to developing more effective rehab and return-to-play plans, manage player load and training regimens, and gain objective insights into injury reduction strategy and treatment. The team will be equipped with the tooling necessary to inform decision-making related to every aspect of player care, development and performance optimisation.”
