Albanian FA opens tender for national stadium’s naming rights

November 20 – The Albanian Football Federation (FSHF) has opened tenders for the main sponsorship of the country’s national stadium in Tirana, currently called the Air Albania Stadium. The contract between the FSHF and the national carrier expires at the end of 2024.

“The National Stadium, currently known by the commercial name ‘Air Albania Stadium’, with a capacity of 22,500 seats, is the most important sports facility in Albania,” said the federation tender document.

“This prestigious building, in the center of Tirana, is not only the home of the national football team, but also the most important center for the development of national and international football activities. It also serves for various events such as concerts, presentations as well as for various community events.

“Since November 2019, when it was inaugurated, the stadium has become an important landmark and center that gathers around its facilities every day, with hundreds and thousands of people and many foreign tourists, who populate the premises around it, from hours first thing in the morning until late at night. And this on seven days of the week and not only on the days of sporting events.”

The deadline for proposals from interested parties is November 30.

The FSHF said the sponsorship includes “naming rights for the National Stadium (which) provide a unique platform to boost visibility, increase the popularity of your brand and engage a very wide and passionate audience.”

The sponsorship also includes full integration of the sponsor brand inside the stadium, including visible signs, digital screens and branding on tickets, signs in flash areas, press conference rooms and mix areas; digital and social media engagement; exclusive sponsorship opportunities and hospitality packages; and branding across community and social responsibility initiatives.
