Germany return to world top 10 ranking as UEFA nations dominate

November 29 – With Germany returning to the top 10 of the world rankings, European nations now occupy eight of the top 10 slots, with only South American giants Argentina (ranked 1) and Brazil (5) breaking the European dominance.

The top five teams remain unchanged. Belgium dropped two places to 8th with Portugal and Netherlands both moving up one place.

This month’s international window saw 192 matches, with national teams from the AFC, CONMEBOL and OFC regions in action in World Cup 26 preliminary qualifying competitions. CAF countries played Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers while the UEFA Nations League and Concacaf Nations League dominated North America and European competition.

Outside the top 10, Uruguay moved up tree places to 11th and Senegal rose three places to 17th. Other notable riser in the top 50 were Canada (31st, up 4), Romania (38th, up 5), Norway (43rd, up 5) and Scotland (45th, up 6).

Biggest movers in November were Niger who jumped 9 places to 122nd.
