December 3 – The Football Association of Hong Kong (HKFA) has announced a new sponsorship agreement with ChargeSpot, a shared power bank provider, to support the national team for the 2024-25 season, serving as HKFA’s Official Power Partner.
The sponsorship aims to bolster the resources available to the HKRT while also increasing public awareness and engagement with local football. Through brand collaboration initiatives, the partnership will spotlight both the team and its players, further promoting football in Hong Kong.
ChargeSpot will also introduce a set of special edition power banks featuring the HKRT and selected players as part of an initiative aiming to allow fans to show their support by renting a number of uniquely branded power banks.
Looking ahead to the opening of HKRT’s new home, Kai Tak Sports Park, ChargeSpot will also install power bank rental stations throughout the venue.
HKFA chairman Eric Fok Kai Shan JP said: “We are glad to announce that the HKRT has received support from ChargeSpot. This commercial cooperation demonstrates the support and confidence of the business in Hong Kong football. We believe this sponsorship will further boost the morale of our players and motivate our team on the international platform and bring exciting performances to the fans. Appreciate all the companies and fans who support us, and I wish everyone keep supporting the Hong Kong football.”
Jess Cheng Wai Yin, Chief Executive Officer and Co-founder of ChargeSpot, added: “As a home-grown tech company, we are excited to combine our love for technology with Hong Kong’s love for football and create new experiences for fans to engage with our products, the teams and their favourite players. We look forward to working with HKFA to bring our brand, charging technology and other surprises to engage with fans in and outside the stadium.”
