FIFA Museum launches Football Fever exhibition

December 26 – The FIFA Museum will unveil a new exhibition space December 17, titled ‘Football Fever: Play. Compete. Repeat’.

The exhibition will run until 31 August 2025 and gives museum-goers an immersive experience exploring the interplay between football and popular culture and how the sport has influenced toy design, comic culture, entertainment trends, artistic expressions, and social movements.

“Football Fever represents our deepest commitment to telling stories that extend far beyond what’s happening on the pitch,” said Marco Fazzone, Managing Director of the FIFA Museum. “This new exhibition space reveals how football is intrinsically woven into the fabric of global culture, influencing everything from children’s imagination to international entertainment.”

The exhibition will feature a variety of football-related games with a skills.lab Cube, an installation that allows visitors to take football training practices directly into the museum. Spanning 16m² of artificial turf within a 4m x 4m space, the 3m-high system offers a 360° environment where visitors can test their football skills through challenging games focusing on first touch, ball control, passing accuracy, and spatial awareness.

The exhibition also features an array of interactive gaming experiences, including football billiard, a 1994 FIFA World Cup themed pinball machine, vintage and modern gaming consoles, and multiple skill-testing games.

Also included in the exhibition is a toy set featuring women’s football legends like Megan Rapinoe and Sam Kerr, original Captain Tsubasa mangas, and an AC Milan shirt worn by the iconic Dutch legend Ruud Gullit plus an accompanying figurine.
