Canada’s Northern Super League start-up secures hummel as kit provider

December 19 – The start-up Northern Super League, the professional women’s league that launches in 2025 with six teams, has unveiled hummel as its official kit provider.

In a multiyear deal, hummel will supply custom-designed playing kits and training gear for all six Northern Super League clubs. No value was given for the deal.

It is Hummel’s first sponsorship of a professional women’s league. The Denmark-based company has been building its profile in the North American market. In Europe it has partnerships with the Denmark national team, Real Betis in La Liga, and Werder Bremen in the Bundesliga.

“Our players will be playing at a world-class level, and we need to ensure they look and feel as exceptional as possible. hummel has a long and deep history in outfitting the world’s top soccer clubs, and we are thrilled to welcome them into the Northern Super League family,” said Christina Litz, President, Northern Super League.

“As our exclusive on-pitch apparel provider,hummel’s unique and innovative Northern Super League kits will be instrumental in our efforts to rally Canadians and grow their passion for professional women’s soccer from coast to coast.”

hummel designers are working with Northern Super League clubs, ownership, and staff to develop unique custom uniforms. The hummel chevrons will be featured on all kits and teamwear.

The Northern Super League kicks off  April 16, 2025 with six clubs in key Canadian markets: Halifax Tides FC, Montreal roses FC, Ottawa Rapid FC, AFC Toronto, Clagary Wild FC and Vancounver Rise FC.
