Teams pick base camps for Women’s Euro 2025 in Switzerland

February 12 – Preparations for the Women’s Euro 2025 in Switzerland are gathering pace with all 16 qualified teams now having chosen their base camp hotels and training centre.

With sustainability being a key pillar and focus of the tournament organisation the match schedule has been designed to reduce team travel in the group phase allowing teams to travel from their base camps to matches via train or coach.

All teams will check into their base camps at least two days before their first match.

Teams were given a selection of base camp options close to the eight host cities of Basel, Bern, Geneva, Lucerne, Sion, St Gallen, Thon and Zurich.

UEFA said almost all the federations have chosen one of the pre-identified team base camps.

The tournament runs for July 2-27 with the final to be played at St. Jakob-Park in Basel.
