Mbappe pursuit of another €55m off PSG fails to win support of French federation

February 19 – Kylian Mbappe appears to have suffered another setback in his legal battle with Paris St Germain after the French Football Federation opted not to hear an appeal from the player against his former club from whom he is demanding €55 million.

PSG and Mbappe parted ways last summer after the superstar joined Real Madrid as a free agent at the end of his contract.

But Mbappe is seeking an alleged unpaid payment of €36.6 million plus what he argues is a contractual bonus, of three months salary of €5.75 million each and half a million ethical bonuses for each of the three aforementioned months – all amounting to a total of €55.4 million.

PSG counter he gave up the bonuses when he left the club and the FFF Appeals Commission has declined to take action and rejected calls from Mbappé’s legal team to impose sporting sanctions on PSG.

Since joining Real Madrid at the end of the previous season, Mbappé had enjoyed favourable rulings through two sporting courts but PSG have long maintained that only ordinary courts have the authority to resolve the conflict. And that appears to be what will happen now with the likelihood the impasse will not be resolved for some time yet.
