New York Red Bulls confirm partnership with Evolv Technology

February 27 – The New York Red Bulls have announced a new partnership with Evolv Technology, naming the AI-based security company as the Official Fan Screening Partner of Sports Illustrated Stadium.

The agreement will see Evolv’s Express screening systems deployed at the stadium’s main entrances, as well as staff and talent entry points. While financial terms and the length of the deal remain undisclosed, the partnership aims to enhance security, bolster Evolv’s brand presence, and expand the Red Bulls’ growing portfolio of commercial partnerships.

The Evolv Express system will debut at Sports Illustrated Stadium for the New York Red Bulls’ 2025 season home opener on March 1, aiming to provide a faster and more efficient security screening process.

Evolv’s AI-driven technology will allow fans to pass through security without the need to stop and remove personal items, in a bid to significantly reduce wait times. The Red Bulls also hinted at collaborating with Evolv on community activations, further strengthening the off-field impact of the partnership.

The deal marks Evolv’s twelfth deployment in Major League Soccer, joining venues such as Dignity Health Sports Park (LA Galaxy), Mercedes-Benz Stadium (Atlanta United), and Lower.com Field (Columbus Crew). The company has played a growing role in MLS security, screening over two million fans in 2024, including those attending matches for five of the league’s top-six teams in attendance.

The addition of Sports Illustrated Stadium further cements its position as a leading provider of security solutions for major entertainment and sporting venues, especially in the Big Apple.

“With a continuous focus on the Fan Experience, we’re pleased to upgrade the arrival experience at Sports Illustrated Stadium with Evolv Express,” said Shaun Oliver, Vice President of Operations at Sports Illustrated Stadium. “Having seen this technology in wide use across MLS venues (and elsewhere in the New York market), we’re confident that our fans will appreciate a convenient entry process.”

“It’s gratifying to continue to grow our presence in Major League Soccer,” noted John Baier, Evolv’s Vice President of Sports & Entertainment. “MLS matches have an electrifying atmosphere that only gets better when the journey from ‘street to seat’ is as smooth as possible.”

With MLS setting an all-time attendance record in 2024, the partnership underscores the league’s continued emphasis on safety and efficiency at matchday venues. For the New York Red Bulls, the deal represents another step in modernising the fan experience while reinforcing security at one of the busiest soccer stadiums in the United States.
