Champions Cup draw guarantees a LigaMX vs MLS final

April 13 – The semi-finals of the 2025 Concacaf Champions Cup will guarantee an MLS vs LigaMX final with Vancouver Whitecaps facing Inter Miami and Tigres UNAL up against Cruz Azul for the final places.

The semi-finals first legs will be played April 22-24 and the second legs April 29 – May 1. The final will be played June 1.

Inter Miami came back from a two-goal deficit with a brace from Lionel Messi to beat LAFC and secure their semi-final slot. Vancouver went through against Pumas by virtue of two away goals, drawing the first leg in Mexico 2-2 and the home leg 0-0.

Both Cruz Azul and Tigres were scoreless in their first legs against Club America and LA Galaxy, before going on to win 2-1 and 3-2 respectively.

Mexican clubs have 18 of the last 19 Concacaf Champions Cup titles (previously called the Champions League). Seattle Sounders broke that run in 2022. Over the past four finals LAFC were runners up in 2020 and 2023, while Columbus Crew were runners up in 2024.

Semifinal #1: Vancouver Whitecaps FC vs Inter Miami CF
