April 14 – Former World Player of the Year, Cristiano Ronaldo has done everything on the field of play, and now he is attempting to conquer the silver screen joining forces with British filmmaker Matthew Vaughn in creating an independent film studio.
“And action! I’m excited to announce UR•MARV, my new film studio with Matthew Vaughn, and can’t wait to tell you about our first movie. Coming soon!” Ronaldo said in an Instagram post.
Vaughn first rose to prominence by producing Guy Ritchie’s cult classics ‘Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels’ and ‘Snatch’ – films that transformed former Wimbledon FC hardman Vinnie Jones into an unlikely film star.
“Cristiano has created stories on the pitch that I could never have written, and I look forward to creating inspiring movies with him – he’s a real-life superhero,” Vaughn said in the same statement.
