November 6 – The CIES Football Observatory has unveiled its latest rankings of young players with the highest transfer values, with no surprises at the number one spot.
October 31 – John Textor plans to take his Eagle Football group, a multiple club ownership holding company, public in the US with a $1.1 billion flotation in the first quarter of 2025 to recapitalise and service debt.
October 31 – Seven-time Bundesliga champions, FC Schalke 04, have lurched from one crisis to another over the last five years as financial problems have crippled one of Germany’s most historic clubs. With the financial results from the period January 1 to June 30 just released, the picture remains cloudy.
October 31 – The new president of Serbian giants Partizan Belgrade, Rasim Ljajić (pictured), has announced that the club has accumulated colossal debts and that Partizan’s expenses must be kept to a minimum for the club to survive.
October 30 – Fresh from sacking manager Erik ten Hag, Manchester United co-owner, Sir Jim Ratcliffe, will be dipping back into the Red Devil’s coffers to pay the Dutchman, a rumoured £15 million in compensation, as well as possibly a £8.3 million release clause for Sporting Lisbon’s coach, Ruben Amorim.
October 29 – Lionel Messi is the highest paid player in the MLS with a guaranteed compensation of $20,446,667. That is more than $1 million a game for the 19 games of the regular season that he played in, some of them coming on as a sub.
October 29 – Inter Milan shareholders have approved the club’s financial results for the 2023/24 season, showing significantly reduced losses of €50 million, down from €85 million the previous year to €36 million.
October 24 – Fresh from making a tidy sum of money brokering and then selling her stake in Newcastle United, Amanda Staveley is rumoured to have her eye on another Premier League club in the form of Tottenham Hotspur.
October 23 – Former Brazilian striker-turned-club-owner Ronaldo has injected €5.1 million into Tara Sports 2018, through which he controls his majority share in La Liga side Real Valladolid, as the Brazilian continues efforts to sell the club- a process he began in May 2023.
October 22 – Tranmere Rovers co-owner Mark Palios has hinted that a deal to sell the League Two club could be imminent, expressing his desire for it to be completed ‘ASAP’.

October 18 – AFC Ajax has reported a significant financial downturn in their annual financial report, posting a €9.8 million loss for the 2023/24 season compared to a €39 million profit the previous year – primarily due to reduced European competition bonuses and lower transfer income.
