December 4 – Table-topping Arsenal have posted a much-needed improvement in annual financial performance, helped by the return of live spectators to Emirates Stadium and a 13% cut in the bill for wages.
November 28 – A total of 39 football fans have been sentenced for disorder over the protest against the Glazer family at Old Trafford that saw fans break into the stadium.
November 23 – Cristiano Ronaldo is to leave Manchester United “with immediate effect”, days after he gave an explosive unauthorised interview attacking manager Erik ten Hag and the club’s owners.
November 17 – Brentford striker Ivan Toney is facing a ban after being charged by the FA with 232 alleged breaches of betting rules.
November 16 – Ronaldo’s explosive accusations in his unauthorised interview with Piers Morgan have opened a set of legal issues that go beyond just his apparent desire for a transfer. While he is on a winter break in at Qatar 2022 in the sun, what awaits his return is unlikely to be so shiny.
November 14 – Cristiano Ronaldo’s long relationship with Manchester United appears to be drawing to a close after the Portuguese superstar publicly accused the club of betrayal by not playing him.

November 8 – Premier League champions Manchester City have posted an improved annual profit, as fans returned to the Etihad. The Abu Dhabi-owned club reported a pre-tax profit of £41.7 million for the year to end-June 2022, versus £5 million a year earlier.
November 8 – The US-based owners of Liverpool have confirmed they “would consider new shareholders” following multiple reports that the club is for sale.
November 8 – Brentford striker Ivan Toney, on the edge of selection for England’s World Cup squad, is reportedly helping the English FA with an investigation over allegations he has been betting on matches.
November 7 – Premier League Southampton have sacked their manager Ralph Hasenhüttl after a poor run of results that saw them lose 4-1 at home to Newcastle yesterday.
November 2 – Premier League Brentford have unveiled a new partnership with video game platform SEGA and its Football Manager simulation game for the launch of Football Manager 23 this month.
October 25 – Unai Emery is back in the Premier League. The Spaniard will succeed Steven Gerrard at Aston Villa, the English club have confirmed.
October 21 – I’m a fighter, not a quitter. The words not only of former British prime minister Liz Truss before she was forced to resign but also, 24 hours later, of Aston Villa manager Steven Gerrard just before being sacked following a terrible start to the Premier League season.
October 20 – Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag says he will “deal with” Cristiano Ronaldo after the five-time Ballon d’Or winner left the pitch without permission after being left out of their 2-0 win over Tottenham on Wednesday.
