November 2 – Italy’s Antonio Conte has become the Tottenham Hotspur manager on a contract reportedly worth £20 million and taking him through to June 2023. He replaces Nuno Espírito Santo, the London club’s second consecutive Portuguese coach to be sacked.

November 1 – After bringing in Nuno Espirito Santo last summer to replace compatriot Jose Mourinho , promising he would “revert back to our core DNA of playing attacking, entertaining football”, Tottenham Hotspur duly sacked their latest Portuguese manager today, leaving themselves open – not for the first time – to widespread criticism as the search resumes for the right man to take the club forward.
October 29 – English Premier League officials have agreed to meet with Amnesty International to discuss potential changes to the so-called owners and directors test following the recent controversial Saudi-led takeover of Newcastle United.
October 25 – Manchester United manager Gunnar Solskjaer lamented what he described as his “darkest day” in the job but vowed not to quit following Sunday’s 5-0 humiliation at the hands of arch-rivals Liverpool.

September 30 – The long-drawn-out £300 million takeover of Newcastle United by a Saudi Arabian-backed consortium could finally be sanctioned by the Premier League if it is decided at arbitration that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA) will not be a director of the club, according to reports.
