June 23 – The Concacaf Gold Cup opens Saturday at Soldier Field in Chicago with USA facing Jamaica. The opening weekend will also feature the top clash in Group B, Mexico vs Honduras, in Houston.

It is a big opener for the US who are under scrutiny after a magnificent performance at the Nations League finals in Las Vegas a week ago.

June 21 – St Kitts and Nevis caused the upset of the Gold Cup preliminary round to qualify for the group stages and place on the big stage with matches against USA Jamaica, and Trinidad and Tobago in Group A of Concacaf’s.

Perhaps the most spectacular of the US’s mega stadiums, the SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California, with its wrap-around video screen, will host the final of the Gold Cup. It is the first time the Gold Cup has visited the SoFi and the stadium’s first major soccer showpiece final.
The SoFi will also be a host venue for the 2026 World Cup and the venue for the finals of the Los Angeles Olympics in 2028.
