April 25 – Canadian Soccer Business (CSB) has taken over the ownership and operation of Canadian Premier League (CPL) side York United from the Baldassarra family, with the league expected to announce new investors in the coming weeks.

April 19 – The USA kick off the group stages of the 2023 Gold Cup at the 63,000-capacity Solder Field in Chicago on June 24 against Jamaica. The US are looking to defend the title won in 2021 against Mexico. In 2019 the US lost at Soldier Field in the final to Mexico.

April 15 – Defending champions USA have been handed what looks like a comfortable group draw for the 2023 Concacaf Gold Cup, with the toughest challenge in the first stage likely to come from Jamaica and their contingent of English Premier League players.
